She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arnold Heuerman and Frances Heuerman (Kenter) of Teutopolis; her husband John Hartke; her children, Theresa Anderson (Guy) of Henderson, Randy Hartke (Susan) of Effingham, Tammy Doedtman (Randy) of Effingham, Rick Hartke (Donna) of Dieterich, Roch Hartke (Tiffany) of Effingham and Tricia Birdsong (Brice) of Effingham; her grandchildren, Christin Hartke, Trent Hartke, Hank Doedtman (Jodi), Sarah Slover (Wade), Megan Looman (Jack), Cole Hartke, Taylor Hartke, Cody Hartke (Lia), Jordyn Biggs (Taylor) and Mason Birdsong; her siblings, Donald Heuerman (Carol), Joseph Heuerman (Diane), Kenneth Heuerman (Mary), Melvin "Dewey" Heuerman (Shirley), Barbara Cornell, Jeannie Hoene (Joseph), Rita Kemme (Moe) and Harold "Tubby" Jurgens (Carol); and her brother-in-law Richard Cornell. She was also cherished by 8 great-grandchildren; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Memorial donations may be given to Effingham Animal Rescue Sanctuary (E.A.R.S.) or to the Smile Train.
