It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Dunning of DeSoto, Illinois, born in West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on July 8, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Jack" Reed and Dorothy Reed (Fuller); and her son Michael Dean Austin. She is survived by: her children, Brad Dunning (Sonja) of Austin and Jeri Smith (Tammy) of DeSoto; her grandchildren, Phillip Smith II, Jonathan Dunning, Jacob Dunning and Harley Dunning; her great grandchildren, Tatum Smith, Katrina Smith and Phillip Smith III; her great great grandchild Addilyn Carpenter; and her brother Jack Reed (Brenda). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
