He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Zalewski and Eugenia Zalewski; his brothers, Victor and Ted; and his grandson Theodore.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Zalewski; his children, Daniel Zalewski (Annie Pfister) and Stephanie White (James); his grandchildren, Amelia, Joscelyn and Madelyn; his sister Harriet Ignarski (late Stas); his friends, Joe and Hector; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Kiolbasa, Nancy Michalowski (Lee), Marie Kiolbasa and Steve Kiolbasa (Debbie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oehler Funeral Home (2099 Miner St, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
