It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nicholas B. Kouruklis (Des Plaines, Illinois), born in Panama, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Basilios Kouruklis and Aikaterini Kouruklis; his siblings, Demetrios, Pana Angelos and George; and his sibling-in-law Spiros Xristodoulou (Antonia).

He is survived by: his wife Maria; his children, Bill (Elena), Kathi Stamatis (Peter), Olga Hatzis (Nick) and Eleni Hatzis (Nick); his grandchildren, Sam, Maria, Evie, Mia, Niko, Nicholas, Kalliopi, Leo, Josephina, Dimitri, Johnny and Anthia; his sibling Tasia Vrentas (late Bill); and his sibling-in-law Cleanthis Xristodoulou. He is also survived by friends, family, and his 14 grandkids.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a charitable donation be made in memory of Nicholas's life to the iconography project of St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.
