We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Lucy M. Hauer of Des Plaines, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony DiCosola and Rose DiCosola (Marino); her husband Walter O. Hauer; her siblings, Catherine Janowiak, Frank DiCosola, Charlene Scala, Leonard Vito DiCosola and Justine DiCosola; and her nephews, Leroy Scala and Anthony DiCosola.

She is survived by: her daughter Kathleen Ann Barton; her nieces, Ramona Donovan (Ralph), Michelle Weippert (Shane), Linda Nelson (Russ), Laura Mlinarcik (Jim), Paula Kaczmarek (Ron) and Denise Buckely-Kulesza (Wayne); her nephew Louis Scala; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Abbi Donovan, Bridget Donovan, Matthew Weippert and Ryan Weippert.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine.
