He is survived by: his children, Karen Perry (Ron), Janet Tulloch (Scott), Linda McDonagh (Peter), John Hartzler (Carrie) and Rob Hartzler (Lisa); his grandchildren, Heather, Allison, Adrian, Katherine, Gracie, Christopher, Chris, Cristina, Bradley, Thomas, Jacob, Joshua and Abigail; and his siblings, Sarah Miller and Delmar Hartzler.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Skaja Funeral Home (7812 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A burial was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at the Ridgewood Memorial Park (9900 N Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
