I met Jim for the first time in 1969, 55 years ago, at the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity at the the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Jim was a member of our pledge class and I have fond memories of Jim as a good fraternity brother throughout our collegiate days.
