He was predeceased by: his son Joseph; his parents, Carl and Olive; his siblings, Bruce (late Jerry) and Dale Nelson (Linda); and his nephew Jason (Rachael).
He is survived by: his spouse Tommi; his children, Brittney Nelson and Ranieri (Ben Ranieri); his grandchildren, Ian and Luca; his sibling-in-law Jody Siek-Gorgacakis (John); his nephews, Justin (Ali) and Jarrod (Kris); his niece Jenna (Matt); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cheydon, Everett, Mila, Declan, Lidia, Gavin, Blake, Griffin, Milo and Sofia.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the National Cancer Society.
