In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Eugene had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Eugene may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pflughaupt and Lily Pflughaupt of Des Plaines, Illinois.; and his wife Margery Ames Pflughaupt. He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Armbruster (Robert) of Clinton, Kentucky, Julie Boyd (Allen) of Bloomington, Indiana and Sarah McKenney (Ray) of Cynthiana, Kentucky; and his sister Lois Hesse of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
