He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Mitchell and Bertha Wyss; and his siblings, Eunice, Virgil, Dale, Clarence and Ralph Sr..

He is survived by: his children, Marcia Harris (John) of Delavan, Mike Mitchell of Branson, MO and Mark Mitchell of Pekin; and his granddaughter Dawn Harris of Jackson, MO..

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate 530 NE Glen Oak Ave, Peoria, IL 61603.
