He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Irene Watts (Tracy); his wife Mary Beth; and his father Thayne Elwood Watts. He is survived by: his sons, Charles R. Watts, David L. Watts, Duane B. Watts (Katherine) and William L. Watts (Sarah Chase) of Washington, D. C.; his half-brother Robert Watts; his brother-in-law John B. Goeken, Jr. (Miriam); his grandchildren, Kevin (Larissa), Cherie, Nicole, Joe (Carissa), Jim (Rebecca), Daniel (Maddie) and Thomas; his great grandchildren, Gunner, Henley, Megan (Drew), Nicholas, Alexander, Austin, Leighton, Westin, Jaelyn, Jensen and Jaden; his great great grandchild Ella; and his close friend Carol Newell. He is also survived by his family and enjoyed spoiling the grandkids and great grandkids.

Memorials may be made to Delavan First Presbyterian Church or Delavan Masonic Lodge #156.
