With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Leroy Jones of Delavan, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 8, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond W. Jones and Francis Jones Buccholz (Wilmert); his siblings, Beverley Shanley, Leona Szmuc and Darwin Jones; and his brother-in-law Jim Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jones; his daughter Michelle Fox; his grandsons, Chase Griffin, Tyler Griffin and Seth Fox; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jace and Astraea; his close friends, Red Wheeler and Ed LaBau; and his siblings, Shirley Davis and Carolyn Petersen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County or to the Delavan Food Pantry.
