He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald D. Ostrom and Doris M. Tammeus Ostrom; and his siblings, Jan DeVary and John Ostrom. He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Bailey (Dan) of Pekin; his stepson Joe Connell (Emily); his granddaughter Olivia Summers of Pekin; his stepgranddaughter Kathrine Connell; his siblings, Bill Ostrom of Lake Placid, FL, Fannie Jenks (Richard) of Morton, Jackie Schmidgall (Melvin) of Minier and Beth Bernahl (Dennis) of Lincoln; his brother-in-law Michael DeVary of Bloomington; and his pet Scooter.

Memorials may be made to Delavan United Methodist Church or Delavan American Legion.
