He was predeceased by: his parents, Johanna Walt and Albert Walt; his brother Ted; and his parents-in-law, John and Catherine McCabe (Kitty).
He is survived by: his wife Catherine McCabe (Kate); his children, Mason Walt and Alison Taylor (Trent); his sister-in-law Janet Walt (late Ted); his in-laws, John (Margaret), Thomas (Maureen) and Joseph McCabe; his nieces, Sarah Walt, Rachel Weatherly (Wil) and Kellie; and his nephew Colin McCabe.
