It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stephen P. Kessler of DeKalb, Illinois, born in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, who passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Kessler and Joleen Paxton-Brown (Seidl); his stepmother Bernice Kessler; his grandparents, Conrad, Hermina Kessler, William and Lora Seidl; and his niece Kelly Jean Kessler.
He is survived by: his wife Gail of DeKalb; his daughters, Marcie Martin (Ross) of Sycamore, Amanda Wacker (Phillip) of Rockford and Jennifer Kessler (Martha Del Rio) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Archer, Wren and Hazel; and his siblings, Randall Kessler (Kathy) of Otsego, MN, Mark Kessler (Terry) of Sparta, GA, Rick Nelson (Joan) of Claire, Robb Nelson (Mary Jo Peterson) of Elburn, Constance Altenburg of Camerillo, CA and Chris Heyob (Mike) of Maple Park. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (2011 S 4th St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
