He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jackson and Mary Jackson (Hoyle); and his siblings, John, Jim and Mary Walsh.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Ortgiesen of DeKalb; his children, Diane Lewis of Princeton, IL, John Jackson (Megan) of DeWitt, IA, Robert Jackson (Betty) of Chicago, IL, Julie Lindberg (David) of McHenry, IL and Mary Freeman (Doug) of DeKalb; his grandchildren, Abigail Trillo (Eric), Blake Cannon (Anooja), Courtney McNeil (AJ), Caitlyn Federspiel (Mitch), Cayla Jackson, Anna, Rachel Jackson, Alexandria Lindberg (Nick), Samantha Lindberg, Austin and Luke Freeman; and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Karter, Emory, Keegan, Kayden and Rihan.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Finch Funeral Home (310 Oak St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (329 Pine St, DeKalb, IL 60115).
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital.
