It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard A. Sampson of DeKalb, Illinois, born in Melrose Park, Illinois, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sampson and Rose Sampson (Radell); his son Michael Chesney; his stepfather Willard Randell; and his siblings, Catherine Bales and Edward Marcellis.
He is survived by: his children, Ken Ziga (Julia) of DeKalb, David Sampson of Lisle, Richard Sampson (Janet) of Geneva, Jason Sampson (Marcia) of Nevada and Jenny Harms (Eric) of Nevada; his siblings, Lee Marcellis (Terry) of Rockford, Terri Iverson of Tennessee and Sylvia Sampson-Haney of Georgia; and his sister-in-law Jeanette Marcellis of Lockport, Illinois. He is also survived by twenty one grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
