He is survived by: his wife Kay Phillips; his son Nicholas Alms; his sister Jenny Melton; his nieces, Emily Williams (Dave) and Katie Sullivan (Earl); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Connor Thorstens, Declan Williams, Adisyn and Zachary Galijatovic.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Home and Crematorium (310 Oak St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (531 Sycamore Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115).
