With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathy Lorainne Martin in DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Jackson and Margaret Jackson; her husband David Martin; her son B. J. Martin; and her brother Steven Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Bennett (Carmen) of Geneva, Nicholas Bennett (Tammy) of Bristol, VA, Janet Martin of DeKalb and Joseph Martin of DeKalb; her grandchildren, Cristian, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Charles, London, Alixandra, Aidan, Cameron, Theodore, Isaac and Myles; and her sisters, Sue Hinz (Lynn) of Germanton, WI and Linda Bauman (Gene) of Whitehouse, TX. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (2011 S 4th St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
