She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Gerhard and Norma Margaret Bjorseth (Falk); and her siblings, Helen Rae Sorvari and Raymond Gerhard Bjorseth II. She is survived by: her children, Jon David Sjolund (Yoko) of Tokyo, Japan and Sara Ann Feken (John) of DeKalb; and her granddaughter Ann Yoshida Sjolund of Tokyo.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (324 N 3rd St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice in memory of Karen N. Sjolund.
