With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hwacha Thomas of DeKalb, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 30, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hyun Seung and Soon Bin Shin (Park); and her granddaughter Isabel Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Corwin Thomas; her children, Sean Bret Thomas of DeKalb and Jennifer Juvingo (Jason) of Fayetteville, GA; her grandchildren, Ethan Thomas, Jack and Jamisen Juvingo; and her siblings, Hochul Shin (YoungSook), Inchul Shin (Yonhee), Micha Lee, Keumcha Yun (Jung) and Junghee Shin Dulaney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
