He was predeceased by: his parents, Arther Meeter and Joan Meeter; and his sister Andrea Dekker. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Meeter; his children, Barbara Cox, Nancy Owens (Ron), Joel Meeter (Carole) and Alison Maki (David); his grandchildren, Tressa Ruvalcaba (Victor), Alyssa Cox, Nicole McCarn (Phil), Naomi Sammarone (Chris), Lucas Maki, Clara Maki and Nathan Meeter; his great grandchild Amelia Ruvalcaba; and his siblings, Duane Meeter (Marge), Jon Meeter (Barbara White) and Susan Meeter (Barbara Cook).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ (615 N 1st St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (611 N 1st St, DeKalb, IL 60115).
