He was predeceased by: his parents, Silvestre Garcia and Maria Garcia (Andrade); his wife Rosemary Aurandon; and his siblings, Valerio "Larry", Trinidad "Danny" Garcia, Jaqueline B. Velez, Pauline Aurand, Tomosa "Tia" Aguinaga, Mary Ellen Rouse and Sandra Contreras.
He is survived by: his children, Earl Garcia (Eleanor) of DeKalb, Alan Garcia of DeKalb and Diane Faber (Guy) of Sycamore; his grandchildren, Sonia (Bob), Joe (Megan), Jake (Beth), Justin (Michelle), Renee, Jordan and Bailey Jacobson (Nolan); and his great grandchildren, Tristan, Summer, Finley, Matthew, Jaylynn, Haylee, Benjamin, Sophia, Tyler, Ava, Jaxon, Jayden and Delilah.
