He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay McConkey and Opal McConkey (Chesshir); his sons, John and Thomas; and his granddaughter Brittany.
He is survived by: his children, James (Theresa), Mark and Saundra; his sister-in-law Mary McConkey; and the mother of his children Vickie McConkey. He is also survived by several grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
