He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dolores; his children, Karen VanCraenenbroeck and Kevin (Ginger); his grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley, Kimberly Kruse (Michael), Timothy (Amy) and Kevin Jr.; and his brothers, Matt (Blanche) and Edward (Catherine). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Ray was the top member in receiving donations for the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll campaign and American Legion Poppy Program.
