It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary J. Herr of Deerfield, Illinois, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on October 23, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Swanson and Opal Swanson (Sjolseth); and her husband Peter R. Herr. She is survived by: her children, Peter Herr (Betsy Decker) of Northbrook, IL and Elizabeth Taylor (Van) of Glen Ridge, NJ; her grandchildren, Henry Herr, Clara Herr, Frederick Herr, Vivian Taylor, Maeve Taylor, Stuart Taylor and Mary; and her brothers, David Swanson (Nancy), Steven Swanson (Patricia) and Stuart Swanson (Marjorie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
