He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav (Erna Fruehauf) and Norbert (Hannah); and his daughter Naomi. He is survived by: his wife Ursula David; his daughters, Ruth and Ora; his grandchildren, Adam Cohen (Lindsay), Daniel Cohen, Alexandra Cohen (Omri Markovich), Ellie Fisher and Sam Fisher; and his great grandchildren, Asher, Pace Cohen, Aviv and Noam Markovich.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home (111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091). A shiva was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 6:30 PM, on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:30 PM, on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 6:30 PM, on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at the Oakridge Jewish Cemetery.
