He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav (Erna Fruehauf) and Norbert (Hannah); and his daughter Naomi. He is survived by: his wife Ursula David; his daughters, Ruth and Ora; his grandchildren, Adam Cohen (Lindsay), Daniel Cohen, Alexandra Cohen (Omri Markovich), Ellie Fisher and Sam Fisher; and his great grandchildren, Asher, Pace Cohen, Aviv and Noam Markovich.
