He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Suzanne "Suzie" Zipkoff; his children, Andie Zamler (Bradley) and Jodi Zipkoff; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Noah and Ava; his parents, Jacob Zipkoff and Rose Zipkoff; his brother Steven Zipkoff (late Barbara); and his brothers-in-law, Steven Blumenfeld (Sharon), Ronald Blumenfeld (Susan) and Howard Blumenfeld.
In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the Louis M. Blumenfeld Fund, 5133 Mulford St., Skokie, IL 60077 (in memory of Barry's nephew) provides annual scholarships to eighth-grade students at Fairview South Elementary School, in Skokie and donations to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
