He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Thompson (Hays) and Harry Thompson; and his sister Debbie VanLanduit (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Janis Thompson; his sons, Alan Thompson Jr. of Deer Grove and David Donnelly of Dallas, Texas; his granddaughter Calleigh Thompson; and his sisters, Laura Thompson, Gigi Heffelfinger (Thompson) and Patti Lynch (Thompson). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
