He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Samuel and Grace Alice Staley (Renner); and his siblings, Raymond Staley and Hazel Ashworth. He is survived by: his children, Bobbi Jo Staley, Ken Staley (Becky), Brandon Staley, Brianna Stiers (Ben) and Chris Staley; his granddaughters, Charlotte and Natalie Stiers; and his brother Jerry Staley (Connie).
