He was predeceased by: his siblings, Roger Ackerman and Diane Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Ackerman of Deer Creek; his sons, John Ackerman (Maria) of Washington and Tim Ackerman (Danielle) of McLean; his grandchildren, Christian, Dimitrios, Anastasia, James Ackerman, Michael Kats, Riley Ackerman, Chase Ackerman, Zachariah Ackerman and Hunter Stanton; and his sisters, Roberta Beutel (Tim) of Morton and Elaine Barth (Dave) of Bluffton, Indiana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greater Peoria Honor Flight or Cache Lake Committee.
