We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2024, at the age of 74, William Schumacher of Decatur, Illinois, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Schumacher to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo John Schumacher and Ruth Naomi Bloxam; his wife Sally Schumacher; and his nephew George Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Schumacher, Leeanne Escobedo and Karen Schumacher; his sisters, Alice Parsons of San Antonio, TX and Chris; his brother-in-law Jack King of Douglas, Wyoming; and his close friend Louisa Hunter of Decatur, IL. He is also survived by three nephews; and six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill's honor may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America or the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
