Wanda King Obituary

We bid farewell to Wanda King of Decatur, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 26, 2024 at the age of 97. Wanda touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Atwood and Felma Atwood; her husband Raymond King; her sons, Timothy and John; her children-in-law, Celeste King and Donald Cunningham; and her siblings, Mary Oehler, Ida Mae Nave and Arthur Atwood, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Esther Cunningham of Danville and Alan King (B. J.) of White Heath. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assumption Christian Church (115 N Walnut St, Assumption, IL 62510). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Pleasant View Cemetery (410 W 3rd St, Assumption, IL 62510).
