Virginia Frances Wilhem Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Frances Wilhem of Decatur, Illinois, born in Findlay, Illinois, who passed away on August 24, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Darnell and Mabel Wilson Darnell; her husband Carl Wilhelm; her daughter Luana; and her brothers, Jack and Harlan Darnell.

She is survived by: her children, Teresa Seggerman of Decatur, Anita Wilcott of Decatur, Carla Andrick (Scott) of Decatur and David Wilhelm (Nancy) of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren, Jeff Seggerman (April), Michael Wilcott, Sara Sutton (David), Amanda Wilcott, Emily Andrick, Ryan Wilhelm and Anna Wilhelm; her great grandchildren, Alayah, Alaysia Wilcott, Eleanor, Addison Seggerman and Carl Sutton; and her brother Lloyd Wilson Darnell (Rosie) of Guntersville, AL..

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, small family visitation and service to honor and celebrate Virginia's life will be held at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N. Oakland Ave., Decatur.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Association or Alzheimer's Association.
