With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valerie M. Grohne of Decatur, Illinois, born in Deerfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 21, 2022 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Valerie M. Grohne to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Sedgwick and Marion Sedgwick (Potter); her husband Bruce Grohne; her sister Donna Chaffee (Sedgwick); and her brother-in-law Thomas Grohne.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie, Kristine Riley (Patrick) of Glen Ellyn and Steven Grohne (Kristen) of Decatur; her grandchildren, Madison Grohne, Weston Grohne, Maggie Riley, Henry Riley and Will Grohne; and her sister-in-law Marta Grothe of Savoy. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
