He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Walters and June Walters (Slater); his brother Doyle Walters; and his children, Elizabeth Koch and David.
He is survived by: his wife Ann L. Dawson; his daughter Theresa Widmer (Steve) of Decatur; his brothers, Eldon Walters of Jacksonville and Gene Walters of Pearl City, Hawaii; his grandchildren, Thomas Cruz, Ryan Koch, Erica Shinkarevich, Joseph Koch and Erik Koch; and his pet Baby. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren as well as two nieces, two nephews.
