As Thomas Eugene departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Thomas Eugene. Though Thomas Eugene may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard William Welsh and Mary Elizabeth Bruder Welsh; and his brothers, Michael Welsh and Carl Welsh. He is survived by: his wife Sowling Welsh; his children, Lisa Garibay, Susie Welsh and Tommy Welsh; his grandchildren, Aurora Welsh and Alyse Garibay; and his siblings, Dale Welsh and Debbie Frey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Et First United Methodist Church (201 W North St, Decatur, IL 62522). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
