We are sad to announce that on March 14, 2025, at the age of 94, Ronald Butts of Decatur, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Butts and Florence Bender Butts; his wife Barbara Hughes; his sons, David Butts (Janie) of Decatur, Kenneth Butts (Mary), Roger Butts (Sandra Barton) of Decatur and Steven Butts (Melissa) of Bonita Springs, FL; his grandchildren, Christopher Butts (Laura), Alissa Butts (Amy Peterselli), Erica Abt (Brad), Jessica Butts (Ryan Dhindsa), Grace Olsen (Gus), John Butts (Alaina Reagan), Dean Butts (Cana), Bryan Butts, Shannon Bowers, Laura Butts (Torrey Pollard) and Roy Butts; his great grandchildren, Layla Butts, Evelyn Butts, Cameron Butts, Evan Abt, Cora Abt, Reynie Abt, Glen Olsen, Mary Ellen Olsen, Ivy Bowers, Sora Bowers, Kyler Pollard, Winnona Pollard and Ronan Pollard; and his nieces and nephews, Debbie Boaz, Vera Holland (Johnny), Janie Harnish-Rast, John Hughes (Larisa) and Brad Harnish.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Graceland Cemetery (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
