He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Everett and Sylvia Irene Parrish (Johnson); his former wife Ilene Colbert; and his siblings, Donald Harold and Betty Isome.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Parrish (Ann) of West LaFayette, IN and Linda Ford (Stephen) of Decatur, IL; and his stepchildren, Vicki G. Hoover (Frank) of Springfield, IL and Douglas Young of Rochester, NY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials in Richard's honor may be made to Korean War Veterans Museum & Library, Springfield, IL or Macon County Honor Guard or American Heart Association.
