He is survived by: his wife Joyce Fitzpatrick; his children, Richard Erin Edwards (Michele) of Decatur and Kyle Lee Edwards (Jennifer) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Danielle Rockosh, Samanatha Rockosh, Alexis Edwards, Kevin Kochell, Jr., Jeana Gentry, Morgan Gentry and Erin Kyle Edwards; his great grandchild Gabriel Betty; and his brother James Edwards (Diane) of Springfield.
