He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Childress and Edith Childress; and his siblings, Donald Childress and Dorothy Burcham. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Childress; his children, K. C. Childress (Amanda), Claudette Cox (Randy) and Lynette Stollard (Ben); and his grandchildren, Josh, Brittany, Justin, Jared, Joel, Brandon, Ashley and Sammatha. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
