He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burr and Marion Irene Young (Adams); his wife Martha Ann Vaught; and his children, Paul Young and Carol Ann Wilhite.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Askins (Keith) of Decatur and Mark Young of Fishers, Indiana; his sister Mary Alice Clay (Forrest) of Worland, Wyoming; his grandchildren, Matt, Lindsey, Kelly, Sarah and Brandon; and his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Lilian and Audrey.
Memorials may be directed to the Macon County Honor Guard.
