He is survived by: his wife Kathleen M. Ruholl of Decatur; his children, Michael (Jennifer) of Decatur, Daniel (Kristin) of Decatur, Jeffrey (April) of Columbus, IN, Julie Smith (Troy) of Mt. Zion and Joyce Myers (Richard) of Blue Mound; his grandchildren, Monica Hayibor (Michael), Brianna Walker (Lane), Colby Niebrugge, Lucy, Annie, Molly, Josie Niebrugge, Kaitlyn, Ashley Niebrugge, Kylie Sutton (Mason), Paige Smith, Natalie Heise (Jonathan), Zachary Smith, Riley, Kaylee and Kayden Myers; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Jaydon, Rhett, Presley, Flynn, Severus, Walker and Grace; his siblings, Gene Niebrugge (Janet), Charlie Niebrugge (Jeannine), Norma Newman, Bernie Niebrugge, Diane Wheat (Bill), Theresa Rogers (David), Marcia Fearday (Dean), Steve Niebrugge, Joanie Mendenhall, Linda Temple (John), Mark Niebrugge (Jeanette), Caroline Niebrugge and Curt Niebrugge (Maisa); and his brother-in-law Lester Cheadle.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bauer Funeral Home (1212 W Evergreen Ave, Effingham, IL 62401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (200 Church St, Sigel, IL 62462).
