Penny Smeltzer Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2023, at the age of 77, Penny Smeltzer of Decatur, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Kaler and Fraudonna Kaler (High); her husband Robert Smeltzer; and her sisters, Paula Rae Kaler and Patricia Michaels.

She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Burris of Decatur and Pamela Card (Michael) of Decatur; her siblings, Karen Beard (Rodney) of Decatur and Raymond Kaler of Decatur; her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Merry and Karla Campbell; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Smeltzer, Brandie Jones, Megan Burris, Abbey Burris and Sunshine Zuber. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
