Norma Jean Wilson Obituary
Norma Jean Wilson, 85, of Decatur, Il passed away January 8, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Norma was born September 4, 1936 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John G. and Josephine M. (Newell) Keefner. She married the love of her life, Vern Eugene Wilson on December 20, 1958 in Fort Hood, TX.
Norma was a Daycare operator in her own home. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Vern; Children, Sue Bollhorst (Mick) of Maroa, IL, Sandy Vernace (John) of Decatur, IL; brother, Donald Keefner (Nancy) of Texas; sister, Dorothy Goodall (Bob) of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Meghan Weber (Mike) of Dieterich, IL, Rachel Zacher (Derick) of Clinton, IL; great grandchildren, Landen, Aubrey, Dylan, Baby Zacher; and honorary daughter, Jenny Seitz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, John J. "Buddy" Keefner.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 14, 2022 at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.
Burial will be at Northfork Cemetery.
Memorials: St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Teresa High School, or the Children's Miracle Network.
