He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Jill Ubbenga; his children, Shane Thomas Cooney (Lara Heideman) of Euless, TX, Ryan Benjamin Cooney of Anchorage, AK and Erin Elizabeth Cooney (Jon Sommers) of Decatur, IL; his grandchildren, Aidan Andrew Cooney and Sidney Ann Cooney; his sister Anne Mary Cooney of Tinley Park, IL; his brother-in-law Kevin Kirby; and also Jennifer Miller Cooney of Anchor Point, AK.
