She was predeceased by: her parents, Earlie O'Neal and Annie O'Neal; her husband Edward "Eddie" Copeland; and her siblings, Lenford O'Neal and Irene Butler.
She is survived by: her niece Rolanda; her cousins, Modestine and Tiny; her son Mylas Copeland (Casey) of Springfield, Illinois; her grandchild Darby Copeland; and her siblings, Thelma Jones, James O'Neal (Mollie), Earnestine O'Neal of Pell City, Alabama and Marcelene Ragland of Decatur, Illinois.. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (530 W Mound Rd, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Camp Butler National Cemetery (5063 Camp Butler Rd, Springfield, IL 62707).
