She is survived by: her daughter Rosalind Pirtle (Joe Sr.) of Decatur; her grandchildren, Marcus Stokes of Cordova, TN, Joe Pirtle Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Michana McCarroll of Jackson, TN; her sisters, Evelyn Hood of Decatur and Doris Bond-Kyles of Evergreen Park; her sister-in-law Martha Bond of Decatur; her great grandchildren, Tristan Stokes of Memphis, TN, Brooklyn of Jackson, TN and Khari of Jackson, TN; her nieces and nephews, Alma Allen of Swansea and Willie I. Bond of Marietta, GA; her friends, Lady Pat Newbon and First Lady Shirley Young; and her godchildren, Ilry Fox and Cleveland Bradfield.
In leiu of flowers the family would like donations to be made in Mary's name to the Alzheimer's Assoc.
