It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Diefenthaler of Decatur, Illinois, born in Oconee, Illinois, who passed away on June 3, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Mitchell and Esther Mitchell (Murray); her husband Max F. Diefenthaler; and her sister Alice J. Samson. She is survived by: her daughter Sandy Fisher of Decatur.

Due to her love of dogs, it has been suggested that memorial gifts be considered to be given to Decatur Macon County Animal Shelter or a charity of the donor's choice.
