With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Margaret Catherine Shepherd (Decatur, Illinois), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Margaret Catherine left this world on November 23, 2024 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. Stewart and Elzia Esther Stewart (Lynn); and her siblings, Lynn Wayne Stewart and Lois Jean Stewart. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Lynn Shepherd of Decatur, IL; her children, Cheryl Darlene Michaels (Scott) of Northport, AL, Karen Renee Hendrix (Richard) of Kaiser, MO, Michele Ann Helm (Randy) of Brighton, MO and Kevin Wayne Beckman (Angie) of Tellico Village, TN; her brother Joe Ray Stewart (Ruth Ann); and her stepdaughters, Tina J. Gist (Doug) of Mt. Pulaski, IL, Tammy J. Dawson (Brian) of Castle Pines, CO and Teresa J. Glick (McKenzie) of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM.
